Ledcor seeks intermediate and experienced Surveyors for a winter reclamation project at the CNRL Albian site in Fort McKay, AB. You will perform construction layout, grade checks, and as-built surveys supporting earthworks in a challenging outdoor setting.

Requirements include 3–5 years of field surveying, a surveying-related diploma, Trimble GPS/Access proficiency, a valid Class 5 license, and a commitment to safety and teamwork with crews.

Description

We’re looking for intermediate and experienced Surveyors to join our team on an exciting winter reclamation project at the CNRL Albian site in Fort McKay, AB.

This is a great opportunity to put your field expertise to work, supporting critical reclamation activities and earthworks operations in a dynamic environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform construction layout, grade checks, and as-built surveys for construction activities
• Perform topographic as-builts, stockpile volumes, and track cut & placement areas
• Collaborate and work closely with construction crews and ensure clear, effective communication
• Work in a busy site environment around heavy equipment and foot traffic
• Actively participate and engage in Ledcor’s safety program

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3- 5 years of field surveying experience
• Preference will be given to candidates with a diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related fields of education
• Ability to demonstrate a strong technical background in surveying
• Attention to detail with the ability to recognize & effectively communicate discrepancies
• Proficiency with Trimble GPS equipment and strong familiarity with Trimble Access
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• Hold a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a clean 3-year drivers record

Work Conditions

• 14 days on, 7 days off, working 10 hour days (potentially up to 12)
• Work is anticipated to be completed in April 2027 with potential for extension
