Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Casual Security Guard in Canada, Ontario, to monitor security systems, patrol premises and control access. The role emphasizes sharp observation, quick incident response and accurate reporting within various environments such as security operation centres, call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Ontario security license.
• WSIB approved first aid certification - required.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Diploma in Police Foundations a strong asset.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a security guard.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
