Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Must hold a valid Ontario security license.
• WSIB approved first aid certification.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Minimum 1 year of security guard experience.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus.
• Proficient with technology and systems.
• Ability to stand and walk during shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in emergencies.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalation in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
