Qualifications

  • Must have current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Ability in nursing practice related to Surgical patients.
  • Knowledge of pathophysiology related to surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to surgical patients independently and as part of a team.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Participate in discharge planning and client advocacy.

Skills

Nursing practice in Surgical patients
Knowledge of pathophysiology and clinical situations
Nursing assessments and interventions
Ability to document client care accurately
Management of acute/chronic pain
