Job summary

Humber River Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Outpatient Clinics at the Wilson Site. This temporary part-time role supports the Surgical Program with rotating shifts and cross-site coverage as needed. You will scrub and circulate in minor clinics, care for patients after procedures, and assist physicians in orthopedic fracture settings.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse with College of Nurses of Ontario license.
• Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience in inpatient or ambulatory settings.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, IV push medications and venipuncture.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork across disciplines.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in health practices.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing and circulating duties in minor surgical clinics.
• Care of patients post minor surgical procedures.
• Assist physician with procedures in the Orthopedic fracture clinic.
• Participate in departmental teams and committees as required.
• Care planning and coordination of care with team members.
• Documentation of patients in computerized systems.
