A leading health authority on Vancouver Island is seeking a Surgical Care Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. This role ensures patient safety and quality through comprehensive nursing care. The position demands a registered nurse with specific surgical training and skills to support a diverse patient demographic. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities and effective communication skills while managing patient care efficiently.

Working as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Surgical Care Nurse functions as an experienced self-directed surgical care nurse by assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant; and
Post-basic education in surgical/ambulatory care nursing on a unit specific basis; or
An equivalent combination of education and training.
Up to two (2) years recent, related experience on a unit specific basis.
