A leading healthcare institution is seeking a Surgical Care Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team in Nanaimo. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering high-quality nursing care with a focus on patient safety and continuous improvement. Candidates must hold an active RN registration and relevant surgical care qualifications. Ideal applicants are experienced, self-directed, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills, dedicated to patient care.

Working as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Surgical Care Nurse functions as an experienced self-directed surgical care nurse by assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant; and
Post-basic education in surgical/ambulatory care nursing on a unit specific basis; or
An equivalent combination of education and training.
Up to two (2) years recent, related experience on a unit specific basis.
