Job summary

BHP Group is seeking a Surface Production Operator to join the Jansen Potash project in Leroy, Saskatchewan. The role focuses on on-site operation of mill processing equipment to optimise potash production and to follow directions from the mill shift supervisor and IOC mill controller.

Applicants should have mill experience and a Grade 12 diploma or GED. The position offers relocation support and a seven days on, seven days off schedule with day and night shifts.

About Potash

The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and islocatedapproximately 140kilometerseast of Saskatoon. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages.

Purpose

Reporting to the Surface Production Supervisor, the Operator applies expertise to meet the production schedule, by controlling and monitoring mill equipment. In this role, you will apply technical skills to solve problems and deliver for the customer.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

Work Location

This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule for this role will be seven days on, seven days off; alternating day and night shifts. If you do not currently reside within the Jansen regions, you may choose to relocate, supported by a comprehensive relocation package, or to stay in Jansen's Discovery Lodge while on shift.
