Job description

Currently, Technica is seeking a self-motivated and qualified individual to join our growing team as an Electrician. There is 1 position available to aid our long-term contract work in Dubreuilville, Ontario. We are actively seeking to fill this position to support the continued success of our operations.

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting/servicing/maintaining switchgear, power distribution circuits, and motor control systems
  • Installation and maintenance of measuring devices, repairing hard wired control logic and PLC control systems
  • Experience with diesel generator maintenance and repair
  • Maintenance of electrical mining equipment related to open pit and milling operations
  • Working safely in accordance with company standards and procedures
REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Valid 309a Construction and Maintenance or 442a Industrial Electrical License required
  • Must have the following specialty modules;
    • U3352 – Work Safely in a Mill Environment
    • U3358 – Handle Reagents
    • U3430 – Follow Mill Induction Procedures
  • Completion of electrical apprenticeship
  • Active member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
  • Working knowledge and skills in open pit and mining mill maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and wiring schematics to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
