Type : Internal &External candidates - Full-Time (Indeterminate)

Hours of Work : 40 hours per week; Days (Monday through Friday; 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m.; hours may change depending on the program and children’s needs.)

Compensation : $21.43 per hour, plus Government Approved Wage Enhancement for all hours worked directly with children to fully licensed ECE Staff. Plus, a generous leave, benefits and pension package.

Program & Location : the alex Early Care & Learning Centre – Coquitlam

Union : BC Government Employee’s Union (BCGEU)- This position requires union membership

Additional Requisites / Assets

  • A BC Early Childhood Educator license to practice is required
  • An ECE or ECE Assistant certificate is required
  • Special Needs certificate is an asset
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers and children with complex needs is an asset
  • A valid child-oriented First Aid Certificate is required
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Covid-19 (including booster) and annual flu vaccinations are required, unless with exemption
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada
  • All positions are subject to a Criminal Records Review (Submitted by Atira)
