Job summary

Island Crisis Care Society seeks a compassionate Community Support Worker to provide holistic care and support to vulnerable adults within our housing and community programs.

You will participate in assessments, develop goals, deliver life skills training, assist with daily living, coordinate community resources, and respond to emergencies while upholding health and safety standards and the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related human/social service field.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience.
• Ability to work with vulnerable adults and apply Housing First concepts.
• Commitment to compassion, integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Participates in assessment, goal setting and program planning for clients.
• Assists with life skills training and personal service plans.
• Supports daily living skills and community integration.
• Maintains health, safety, and documentation.
• Responds to emergencies and administers first aid per policy.
