Support Worker

The Support Worker assists persons served to live successfully in group living settings, implementing the philosophy and values of Communitas. The Support Worker ensures that persons served’s physical, emotional, social, educational, and medical needs are met, with a view towards helping each individual reach their full potential.

Here's what we need from you:

• The ability to take initiative with creativity and flexibility
• The ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Community Support Worker certificate; we provide in-house training if you do not have this certificate
• Possession of a Class 5 BC Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Class 4 BC Driver’s License within 3-6 months after hire
• Personal Driving Record
• Emergency First Aid Certificate
• Doctor’s Note of Good Health
