Job summary

Communitas Supportive Care Society is seeking a Support Worker 1 for a temporary summer position to assist individuals in a group living setting. Job description

The Support Worker 1 assists persons served to live successfully in a group living setting, implementing the philosophy and values of Communitas. The Support Worker ensures that the physical, emotional, social, educational, and medical needs of the persons served are met, with the goal of helping each individual reach their full potential.

Applicants must be available for a minimum of 23 shifts per week, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Please note that this is a summer position to provide vacation coverage. Time off requests cannot be accommodated.

• Community Support Worker certificate or approved equivalent
• A philosophy of service aligned with Communitas Vision, Mission, and Values
• Familiarity with and ability to implement Spirit of Gentleness principles
• Ability to take initiative and demonstrate creativity
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to maintain honest, direct, and respectful relationships
• Ability to receive direction and work independently without supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possession of a valid Emergency First Aid Certificate with CPR (must maintain valid certification)

Salary :

• Day / Evening Shift : $23.59 per hour
• Sleep Night Shift : $20.86 per hour
