Compensation

  • Day Support Shift (12 hour shift) : $400 per shift ($28.57 an hour - 8 regular hours and 4 overtime hours).
  • Overnight Awake Shift (12 hour shift) : $450 per shift ($28.57 an hour - 8 regular hours and 4 overtime hours + flat $50 shift premium).
  • All hourly training shifts are paid at $25 per hour.

Job Description

Provide emotional, physical and social support while delivering a high standard of care to our clients. Our support workers will promote the advancement of life-skills, foster cultural and community connections, and assist with daily routines while maintaining a functioning household. Team members will work in small, tight-knit groups, requiring strong interpersonal and social skills.

  • As of June 10th, 2025, Aeon provides support to adult clients aged 19 and older. This Support Worker position requires candidates who are willing to work with youth-aged clients and adult-aged clients.

Experience

  • Prior experience or education is a benefit, but we also consider candidates with more general life experience and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A diploma in Human Services or a related field and / or experience working with clients at risk and / or appropriate life experience.
  • 1 year+ experience is an asset.

Required Skills / Certificates

  • Documentation skills (maintaining records and regular computer use).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • WCB recognized Basic First-Aid (formally known as OFA Level 1) or approved equivalent.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License or out of province / country equivalent.
  • Considered candidates will be required to submit a clean driving abstract.
  • Approved criminal record check (processed by the Centralized Screening HUB).
  • If during the previous five years you have lived outside Canada for more than six continuous months, an out of country criminal record check is required.
