Changing Lives is a nationwide charity helping people facing the most challenging circumstances to make positive change — for good. We believe everyone deserves a safe home, a rewarding job, and a life free from addiction or abuse. With the right support, anyone can transform their life for the better.
Our services across the country assist thousands each year facing issues such as homelessness, addiction, unemployment, involvement with the criminal justice system, sexual exploitation, and domestic abuse. By focusing on strengths, potential, and opportunities, we support individuals to overcome their challenges and lead safe, successful, independent lives.
Our charity is powered by over 600 passionate colleagues in a diverse and inclusive environment. Many team members have lived experience of the challenges faced by those we support. We seek committed and compassionate professionals to join our team and share our enthusiasm for changing lives.
The Northeastern is a male-only project with 18 bed spaces, supporting individuals aged 18 and over. We assist those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, including specialized accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, and survivors of domestic abuse.
For us, accommodation is more than just shelter; it is a welcoming environment that fosters comfort and development. You can make a difference by supporting people on their journey toward a brighter future. At Changing Lives, we offer a home, not just a shelter.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be allocated 3 or 4 residents to support, focusing on areas such as substance use, mental health, meaningful activity, and financial support. You will work alongside our senior support worker, three support workers, an engagement and resilience worker, four nightshift workers, and our project lead.
The role involves shift patterns that include weekends and bank holidays, typically between 08:00 and 22:00 hours.
