We have a fantastic opportunity for an RVT at Champlain Animal Hospital! Champlain has been serving people and their pets in Peterborough and the Kawartha region for over 40 years. We are a fully equipped, progressive 5 doctor hospital dedicated to offering high quality medicine to our patients and excellent customer service to our amazing clients. We are looking to add a Full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to our fantastic team here at Champlain. What You’ll Need To Excel

• AHT/VT Diploma (New grads welcome!)

• A desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients

How You’ll Make a Difference

As part of the medical team, you will play a key role in our fully equipped hospital and will utilize all of your skills, including:

• Working closely with the veterinarians as a team to provide the best care for our patients.
• Collecting samples and performing lab work - Complete Idexx in-house lab equipment
• Conducting digital X-rays, both dental and full body
• Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring anesthesia
• Administering medications
• Discharging patients and providing post-operative care
• Filling prescriptions and making follow-up calls
• Experience with Avimark an asset
