Aramark Canada is seeking a Support Services Manager with experience in Food Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance Services to service a Healthcare Facility in the Victoria area.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the District Manager, the Support Services Manager oversees the food and facilities contract at the site, including financial accountability and compliance with Aramark standards, regulatory agencies, and the client. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with other departments to ensure a unified food service experience for residents, visitors, and employees.
  2. Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  3. Interacting with Client Management to maintain effective relations and identify service expansion opportunities.
  4. Providing direction and managing performance of Supervisors and front-line employees, focusing on development, engagement, and policy compliance.
  5. Directing staffing, training, food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling in the food service department.
  6. Developing operational forecasts and explaining variances, including accounting functions.
  7. Managing ordering, inventory, menu development, and production planning.
  8. Maintaining and verifying employee schedules through web-based payroll systems.
  9. Assisting Food Service Supervisor with ordering, inventory, menu development, and planning.
  10. Monitoring and verifying accounting documentation via web-based systems.
  11. Following Union CBA terms, including seniority and scheduling policies.
  12. Preparing and reviewing the annual budget for revenues and expenses.
  13. Developing and maintaining a strong leadership team.
  14. Ensuring compliance with audits and Business Conduct policies.
  15. Overseeing menu and nourishment cycle development in collaboration with the site Dietitian and Corporate Menu Development team.
  16. Addressing resident, family, and employee concerns with follow-up and resolution.
  17. Performing other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Membership to CSNM is required.
  • Basic Housekeeping or full EVS experience is an asset.
  • Experience in menu management, budgeting, and working within operational costs.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive management experience with financial and operational responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed services is desirable.
  • Strong management and leadership skills, with ability to handle confidential information.
  • Mandatory background check for all candidates.

Compensation

Salary Range: $58,710 - $74,160 CAD per year.
