Then look no further, we're on the lookout for new colleagues in to join our amazing #TeamNLCS in Coatbridge , Airdrie & Bellshill on a part-time (16 to 25 hours per week) permanent basis.
The Role
As a Support Practitioner, we'll guarantee you heaps of job satisfaction. No two days are ever the same. You'll play a HUGE part in making a difference in the lives of people living with disabilities and additional support needs in your local community.
The individuals we support live in the Coatbridge, Airdrie & Bellshill areas and you'll provide support with all aspects of their daily living, including cooking and meal planning, household tasks, personal care, medication, and managing finances.
As well as helping the people we support in their own homes, you’ll support them to do the things they want to do out in the community, including going to the football and gym, visiting museums, playing board games, day trips and going to the cinema. You'll also support them to maintain relationships with their friends and family whilst discovering new things to enjoy together.
Your support will enable the individuals to not only maintain their independence and continue to live in their own homes; you’ll also help them to play an active part of their community too.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6 / 7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we’ll need you to bring is : -
As the people we support have their own mobility cars, for this role you will need a full UK drivers licence with one years experience on the roads.
Shift Patterns
We understand the importance of a good work / life balance, so we try to be as flexible as possible with our shift patterns. Our team currently deliver support between the hours of 0830-2130 hours, 7 days a week. Weekends and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis, but we aim to only have you working two weekends in a 2 month period.
Shift length can be anything between 4 and 10 hours, depending on what suits you and the person you will be supporting. There will be times where you will provide support to more than one person in one day.

Successful candidates will be invited forward for interview on the 5th August at our office in Airdrie.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
