Job description

Support & Outreach Manager

HIV Edmonton is an inclusive and dynamic community-based charitable organization offering programs and services which advance health equity for those living with or at risk of HIV, AIDS or STBBI.

Main Responsibilities: This onsite manager position oversees the delivery of innovative programs and services that provide wrap around supports, health promotion, and outreach to individuals living, affected by and at risk of HIV, HCV, Syphilis and other related STBBI. Providing leadership and support to a team of six, this position is responsible for program grants, outputs, outcomes, evaluation, development and implementation. The Support and Outreach Manager works collaboratively with agency staff, and community organizations to develop and nurture linkages to facilitate the achievement of HIV Edmonton’s vision and mission. This position reports to the Director of Programs and Services.

Qualifications

  • Registered Social Worker or ability to register with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
  • 3-5 years direct experience in program management including client case management, program development, implementation and evaluation, facilitation of community education activities, and formal reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, focus on strength-based practises, foster teamwork, make decisions, and have good organizing, planning and research skills.
  • Strong ability to generate positive opportunities are all essential to making this position fun and exciting.
  • Exceptional staff supervision skills required.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Competency in computer software/databases including Canfit and Microsoft Office.

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits plan. Salary range $57,000-$60,600. People living with HIV and AIDS or those from disproportionately represented communities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Ideally, the successful candidate is expected to commence employment the week of June 23, 2025.
