Overview

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

To provide end user support, process knowledge and content for key financial applications (IBM Cognos TM1, PeopleSoft) ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction. This involves delivering timely and professional support, issue resolution, incident management, knowledge sharing to enhance user proficiency, and address user inquiries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide application and business support to the enterprise Finance systems (such as PeopleSoft General Ledger, IBM Cognos TM1, TLM etc) for the user community.
  • Support the end-to-end incident management process, assisting with investigation and resolution of balance reconciliation issues, data validation issues, user queries and system issues, minimizing the impact to business partners.
  • Prepare broadcast communications to end users related to system issues and maintenance.
  • Support ad hoc training and communication to users or user groups as required to ensure the effective use of the finance systems and contribute to the build of a self-serve support environment.
  • Proactively contribute content to the Knowledge Management tool and training guides to enable an efficient support environment and assist with ongoing review of existing content.
  • Track support requests and communicate responses/updates to end users.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and user acceptance testing (UAT) pertaining to system support initiatives and maintenance releases related to finance systems.
Qualifications

Must have:

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with 2-3 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.
  • A good understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, results-oriented and able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling high volume of requests.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of macros and query tools is an asset
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
  • Knowledge of IBM Gognos TM1 and PeopleSoft GL
