The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking Supply Paraprofessionals to support students with diverse needs. Candidates will work under the supervision of school staff, providing essential assistance in various capacities. We are currently seeking applications for Supply Paraprofessionals (Educational Assistants / Child and Youth Workers).
Supply Paraprofessionals work under the supervision of the school Administrator and receive direction from teachers. They support students with various needs, including behavioral, safety, medical, and physical support. Employment conditions include passing a Physical Demands test, with all offers conditional upon passing this test.
This applies to EA / CYW candidates without existing Permanent / Term level D hours. Successful candidates will work on an on-call basis from September to June and must be willing to fulfill all role requirements. Qualifications / Requirements include:
Must hold a CYW/CYC diploma or equivalent degree in a child-related field, such as Social Work. A current BMS (Behavior Management Systems) certificate is an asset. Those without BMS training must complete a mandatory training session provided by the Board.
