Supply Early Childhood Educators

Position Overview:

The supply Early Childhood Educator will be available for daily and long term assignments. They will collaborate with classroom teachers and assist in delivering a program that enhances children’s cognitive, physical, social, spiritual and emotional development.

Qualifications:

1. 2 year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma with experience in a childcare or educational setting;
2. Member in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators;
3. Knowledge of Ministry of Education full day early learning kindergarten program;
4. Experience in planning and implementing age appropriate programs;
5. Knowledge of related legislation and pertinent Board policies and directives such as, but not limited to Administration of Medication and/or Special Services;
6. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff and the general public;
7. Strong organizational and management skills;
8. Demonstrate knowledge of classroom management;
9. One year of experience as an ECE in a childcare centre and Early Learning Program is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply;
10. Current certificate in First Aid and CPR.
