Job summary

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board is seeking a Supply Custodian to maintain a clean and safe school environment across SMCDSB facilities. The role is an Occasional position with up to 8 hours per day and immediate start, with opportunities for eventual permanent postings through the posting process.

Responsibilities include complying with health and safety standards, performing custodial duties efficiently, and coordinating with school staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Health and Safety guidelines is required.
• Board specific online training, including WHMIS 2015, will be required prior to job commencement.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills when dealing with the school community and the public.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize custodial activities within a school.
• Must be computer literate and able to communicate via email.

Job Summary

The custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment; ensuring compliance with Board, local provincial government operational and health and safety standards. As a Supply Custodian, you also have the opportunity to apply for Permanent Part Time and Full Time Permanent Custodial positions within the Board. Anywhere from 1/2hr to 8hrs per day permanent hours. Positions are awarded as per the posting process within the Collective Agreement.
