Job summary

STELIA North America in Lunenburg, NS is seeking a procurement/SC leader to oversee the entire procurement process and drive cost-effective supplier partnerships. You will provide strategic direction, manage risk, and ensure timely material delivery for production.

The role requires a university degree in business, supply chain or engineering and at least 5 years of progressive procurement experience, including ERP/MRB systems usage, with strong Excel and BI tool skills.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain and/or contract management experience.
  • This position is a full-time on-site role.
  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership role is an asset.
  • Experience working in ERP/MRB systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with BI tools.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement/supply chain process for the Stelia procurement team.
  • Provide leadership and oversight, while supporting process and/or people development, and ensuring consistent execution.
  • Be the first point of escalation related to material shortages impacting Production.
  • Monitor the delivery for Line Stopped materials, and ensure timely release to Production.
  • Oversee Supplier Recovery Plans and risk mitigation.
  • Drive supplier engagement, RFQs, pricing analysis, and PO placement with precision and urgency.
  • Communicate supply issues that may pose a risk or impact on business targets or customer expectations.
  • Attend daily production meetings and provide comprehensive updates to mitigate any/all material risks.
  • Escalate relevant issues to SC Manager and Planning Manager as needed.
  • Manage Line Stop tracking and resolution for procurement activities.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve price, quality, delivery and invoice issues.
  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers, sharing performance metrics and feedback.
  • Develop, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communication with all critical suppliers.
  • Use data to optimize decisions, identify risks, and elevate performance.

In T his Role, You Will:

What You Bring:
  • A University Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering or suitable combination of education and related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain and/or contract management experience
  • This position is a full-time on-site role
  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership role is an asset
