STELIA North America is seeking a Senior Capacity, Planning & Industrial Systems Manager for its Mirabel, QC site and related operations. The role focuses on S&OP, MPS, and capacity strategy to align demand with production capabilities and business objectives.

You will drive capacity optimization, ramp-up readiness, and operational performance through data-driven planning, simulation, and continuous improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams across Production, Engineering, Supply

Qualifications

• Including a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field and 10+ years of experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, MPS, Capacity Planning, Lean, and Shop Floor Control.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Proficiency with ERP, Excel, Power BI, and modeling/simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of S&OP across all programs and oversee the MPS.
• Develop long-term capacity plans aligning demand with operating capabilities.
• Ensure load/capacity meet delivery, efficiency, and inventory goals.
• Establish VSMs and capability matrices for all product families and work centers.
• Implement standard line balancing to optimize throughput and flow.

• Identify risks/opportunities and develop mitigation plans.
• Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for decision making.

The Senior Capacity, Planning & Industrial Systems Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP), Master Production Schedule (MPS), and industrial capacity strategy to ensure alignment between customer demand, operational capabilities, and business objectives.

The role serves as a key link between Production, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders, driving capacity optimization, production flow, ramp-up readiness, and operational performance through data-driven planning, simulation, and continuous improvement.

In this role you will:

• Lead the development and maintenance of the Sales & Operations Planning Cycle across all programs and oversee the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Develop long-term capacity plans to support business objectives while ensuring short-term capacity risks are considered and mitigated.
• Ensure load and capacity are aligned to support long term customer delivery, operational efficiency, and inventory objectives.
• Establish and maintain VSMs and capability matrices for all product families and work centers, tracking actual versus maximum capacity in terms of equipment, labor, and critical competencies.
• Implement and maintain standard line balancing methodologies to optimize throughput, labor utilization, inventory balance and manufacturing flow.
• Lead industrial readiness and ramp-up planning through structured phases from capacity assessment to full-rate production.
• Identify risks and opportunities impacting delivery, capacity, cost, and productivity, and develop mitigation plans.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reporting to support decision-making.
• Act as a trusted partner to Production Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Managers, and Finance teams.
• Facilitate cross-functional reviews to ensure alignment on demand, capacity, priorities, risks, and recovery plans (S&OP Cycle, Capacity Plan and Operational Forecasting).
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You have:

• A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, capacity planning, production planning, or operations management environments.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, composites, or other complex manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, MPS, Capacity Planning, Industrial Engineering, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, and Shop Floor Control.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, Power BI, and modeling/simulation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive cross-functional alignment, and translate data into actionable business decisions.
