Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist plays a key role in process optimization, continuous improvement, and support for strategic projects. The incumbent will actively contribute to the development of strategies aimed at reducing costs and maximizing the operational efficiency of the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Support the continuous optimization of the GAINS forecasting and replenishment system, ensure knowledge transfer, and act as a resource person for internal teams to maximize its use (cost reduction, inventory optimization, process improvement).
  • Perform demand forecasting and collaborate on inventory parameter management for distribution centers and warehouses, integrating tools and data generated by GAINS.
  • Identify, develop, and recommend continuous improvement strategies aimed at optimizing the supply chain and reducing costs.
  • Conduct complex analyses, interpret results, and propose recommendations to support the performance and efficiency of the inventory planning department.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the S&OP process by supporting alignment between demand, replenishment, and business objectives.
  • Produce, analyze, monitor, and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply and inventory planning.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process by providing accurate analyses and reliable data.
  • Participate in various optimization projects and special projects, in collaboration with the business solutions sector and other company departments.
  • Interact with internal and external partners to understand operational needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Regularly present analyses, recommendations, and optimization solutions to the management team and stakeholders.
  • Act as a positive ambassador of change by encouraging the adoption of best practices and fostering a collaborative and constructive attitude within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or any other relevant education or experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a supply chain department within a large company.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel; Access is an asset) and integrated management systems.
  • Knowledge of AS400.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with a highly developed attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly identify, assess, and resolve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills; clear and logical both orally and in writing in French and English.
