Job summary

AlgaeCal is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Vancouver-based supply chain team. You are comfortable across manufacturing, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and shipping, with a data-driven approach and clear follow-through.

You’ll help optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, build SOPs, forecast demand, manage supplier performance, and balance inventory against budgets in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of end-to-end supply chain experience across manufacturing, procurement, inventory and shipping.
• Strong track record of building and improving supply chain processes across distribution channels.
• Experience negotiating supplier terms, issuing POs, verifying invoices and managing supplier performance.
• Experience with forecasting tools and inventory audits to prevent stockouts and delays.
• Ability to plan purchase orders while balancing inventory targets, cash flow and budgets.
• Experience managing inventory across e-commerce platforms including Amazon FBA.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret shipment, inventory and fulfillment data.
• Experience identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical process improvements.
• Experience creating SOPs and training teams on new systems and workflows.
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies and ERP or MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret shipment, inventory, and fulfillment data.
• Experience identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical process improvements.
• Experience creating SOPs and training team members on new systems and workflows.
• A good working knowledge of Lean methodologies.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems. If you’ve worked on ERP implementation we’ll probably swoon.
• A resume that demonstrates measurable improvements in supply chain performance.
