Are you ready to directly manage client portfolios, conduct audits, and shape the future of sustainable land use in North America? If so, you could be our next Supply Chain Specialist based in Quebec.

What you can expect :

This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a measurable impact in the forest product supply chain.

Working with us is never routine so the first year you can expect the following areas to be central to your work.

  • Manage your own portfolio of certified clients, ensuring audits are scheduled, conducted, and completed accurately and on time.
  • Lead Chain of Custody (CoC) audits, both on-site and remotely, providing expert guidance and evaluating client compliance with sustainability standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, offering ongoing technical support and ensuring high levels of customer service.
  • Oversee audit-related project management tasks, including budgeting, report review, and logistical coordination.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across all audits and contribute to Preferred by Nature’s quality control systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify new service opportunities and support regional business development efforts.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development on forestry certification systems.
  • Represent Preferred by Nature in meetings, events, and industry stakeholder engagements in Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes.

Within three months, you will :

  • Complete onboarding and certification-specific technical training (FSC and / or PEFC and SFI, according to previous experience).
  • Shadow audits and begin planning and logistics for your assigned clients.
  • Support client communications and internal system updates.

Within six months, you will :

  • Lead CoC audits independently.
  • Complete certification-specific technical training on other certification schemes (PEFC and SFI, FSC Controlled Wood, EUDR modules).
  • Finalize consultant agreements, manage your audit schedule, and maintain certification data in Salesforce.

Within one year, you will :

  • Operate independently as Lead Auditor and Client Manager.
  • Manage the full audit lifecycle for your portfolio.
  • Complete certification-specific technical training on other certification schemes (PEFC and SFI, FSC Controlled Wood, EUDR modules).
  • Contribute to internal process improvements and support junior team members.

Important that you :

  • Have a post-secondary education (college / university) plus 3+ years of professional experience in the forest products sector; or secondary education plus 4+ years of relevant experience.

The forest products sector includes, but is not limited to : environment, paper and pulp, wood-based sector, or experience in activities related to manufacturing, research, education, standards development, forest industry / product associations, forest law and regulation, transport, distribution and recycling, or transport and storage of forest and tree-based products.

  • Experience in sustainability sourcing, responsible supply chains, or certification standards (FSC, PEFC, and SFI) is an asset.
  • Experience in conducting or managing audits is a strong asset.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in French ; intermediate English proficiency required.
