Job summary

Panasonic Canada Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support inventory planning, forecasting, and purchasing coordination.

The role involves generating PSI forecasts, reviewing inventory, pricing, margins, and backorders, and coordinating with factories and stakeholders to fill backorders. You will work with SAP, Anaplan, Salesforce, and other systems, producing reports and dashboards, and supporting service teams and partners.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management (SCM), or a related field with a minimum of 3 years SCM or business support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP/APO systems.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills within guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare inventory, product mix, planning, and forecasting analyses, including baseline PSI forecasts based on monthly run rates by model and sales forecasts from historical data.
  • Recommend purchase requirements and inventory levels to support demand planning and optimization.
  • Create and distribute monthly/quarterly reports and dashboards; measure forecast accuracy and trends.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors across Canada and the U.S. to manage purchase orders with accurate details.
  • Track direct shipment orders to ensure on-time delivery and maintain sales funnel accuracy.
  • Create Salesforce reports; use SAP, Anaplan, Salesforce, and other portals; provide part number support.

Overview
WHO YOU ARE AT PANASONIC CANADA:

Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Supply Chain Specialist.

Assists in the preparation of parts PSI - inventory, product mix, planning and forecasting analysis. Generates a baseline PSI forecast based on monthly run rates by model. Reviews inventory levels, pricing, and operating margins on a regular basis. Reviews back orders weekly. Reviews costing for assigned products and compares to ongoing business plan objectives. Requests product availability from factory, Panasonic US or other stakeholders to fill (potential) backorders. Liaises with factory with all ordering, part numbers, shipments and coordinating with PCI stakeholders including configuration, product management, sales and management.

This is a full-time position.

This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Prepares inventory, product mix, planning, and forecasting analyses, including generating baseline PSI forecasts based on monthly run rates by model and sales forecasts based on historical data and service team input.
  • Recommends purchase requirements and inventory levels for management review to support demand planning and inventory optimization.
  • Creates and distributes monthly and quarterly reports and dashboards, assists with management reporting requirements, and develops reports to measure forecast accuracy, inventory levels, trends, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with third-party vendors across Canada and the U.S. to create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate order details, pricing, quantities, delivery requirements, and shipping information.
  • Tracks direct shipment orders from third-party vendors to ensure products are delivered directly to customers, communicates upcoming deliveries with team members to maintain sales funnel health and accuracy, and escalates issues to management as required.
  • Creates Salesforce reports upon request, works daily within SAP, Anaplan, Salesforce, and portal systems, and provides part number support to the service team and partners.
  • Provides feedback to management to improve efficiencies and streamline processes, supports report users, identifies trends, makes necessary corrections, and assists in driving continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
MUST-HAVES:
  • University degree or college diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management (SCM), or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of related SCM or business support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as SAP and APO systems.
  • Ability to work within established management guidelines while applying non-routine problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills when required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present analysis results, maintain effective business relationships with internal departments and external customers/agencies, and occasionally communicate unfavorable outcomes.
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity and sensitivity, with the ability to work effectively with non-domestic factories and international business partners.
WHAT YOU’LL EARN:

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 CAD.

In addition, the position of Supply Chain Specialist is eligible for a maximum annual bonus of 10% of the base salary based on achievement of predetermined objectives.

Actual compensation offered to the selected incumbent will vary depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills and experience related to the role.
