Job description

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Supply Chain & Quality Manager for our manufacturing facility in Hagersville, ON! Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role involves leading a large cross-departmental team to ensure on-time delivery of the highest quality CGC products.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Recognize and analyze trends and product performance to ensure quality & delivery standards are met
  • Actively participate in plant leadership activities around safety culture, site performance, continuous improvement, diversity, equity & inclusion
  • Oversee the effective management of finished goods and raw material inventories
  • Analyze impacts of plant down time and offer solutions to minimize customer impact
  • Empower shift supervisors to support and develop teams, progressing employees through the operator rate program
  • Work effectively with internal stakeholders such as sales, customer service, and transportation, and manager relationships with external service providers to ensure operational needs are met
  • Ensure the fair and consistent application of CGC policies and procedures including performance management, quality of work life, etc.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a preferred discipline in Engineering, Business, or similar.
  • Prior leadership experience within a production department is an asset.
  • Given the size and complexity, at least 5 years of work experience in Supply Chain is required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team to success in safety, quality and shipping/receiving performance.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, troubleshoot complex logistical and quality related issues, and the complex needs of team members at a large site.
  • Ability to facilitate the handling of customer complaints including large and complex complaint situations.
  • Able to travel to other job sites from time to time as needed.
