Job summary

Wonderbrands is seeking a supply planner for its Etobicoke, Ontario network. You will focus on master planning for bread products, manage capacity, inventory, and KPI targets, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Demand Planning to keep operations efficient.

The role requires a post-secondary degree in a related field and 1–2 years of experience, with SAP/MRP and strong Excel skills, plus familiarity with Power BI and MS Access. French is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in engineering, supply chain, statistics or mathematics.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience (co-op or internship accepted).
  • Understanding of forecasting, inventory control and logistics.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Moderate to advanced Excel; Power BI and MS Access preferred.
  • Written and spoken French a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Daily and weekly master planning for the specified product category (bread, rolls, etc.).
  • Short and long-term analysis for capacity and inventory needs.
  • Maintain and improve fill rate and financial obligations per WB leadership.
  • Identify KPI misses and opportunities to improve trends.
  • Lead meetings and develop relationships with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Demand Planning.
  • Plan and replenish central ingredients/packaging weekly using planning tool/SAP MRP.
  • Create Purchase orders and monitor deliveries weekly.
  • Support new project launches and ensure timely POS placement with suppliers.
  • Develop supplier score cards and discuss service levels with suppliers.
  • Improve inventory accuracy for centrally stored raw materials.

Summary

Wonderbrands supply planners will report into a team leader, supply planning or a manager, supply planning. Supply planners are responsible for (not in order)



  • the detailed master planning of primarily fresh baked goods (breads, rolls, bagels) with some inventoried frozen SKUs, short and long term;

  • achieving and maintaining set KPI levels for fill rate, inventory targets and other established metrics;

  • open communication, collaboration and engagement with WB key team members including Logistics, Finance, Manufacturing, Customer Center of Excellence, Procurement and Product Life Management;

  • participating in continuous improvement goals. This role is in a FAST-paced environment.


Location: 1425 The Queensway, Etobicoke, Ontario


Flexible work schedule including holidays and weekends - business needs may require your involvement outside of regular working hours.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Short term daily and long term weekly master planning and all related activities for a specified product category (bread, rolls, alternatives, frozen) including timely distribution of information

  • Short and long term analysis for capacity and inventory requirements

  • Maintain and improve fill rate and financial obligations (including post production waste) as set by WB leadership

  • Understand, identify and root cause KPI misses for opportunities to improve trends

  • Participation and/or leadership in key meetings as required.

  • Develop key relationships with other WB team members including Manufacturing sites, Logistics and Demand Planning

  • Planning and replenishing central ingredients and packaging items on a weekly basis using planning tool/SAP MRP

  • Create Purchase orders with the suppliers and monitor weekly Purchase orders which are due for delivery

  • Work with PLM and bakeries for the new project launches and ensure timely placement of Pos to the suppliers ensuring inventory availability throughout the network

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential buyers and suppliers to the organization along with maintaining supplier score cards and having discussions with suppliers on service levels periodically

  • Develop processes to improve inventory accuracy for all centrally stored raw materials

  • Report and update department KPIs

  • End to end tracking of deployment transactions

  • Clear and open communication with internal and external partners (verbal and written)

  • Learn and champion software tools (current and as introduced)

  • Drive to improve and develop processes/tools that contribute and/or act as multipliers to overall WB business health

  • Participating in the S&OP process and maintaining related presentation tools according to product category

  • Vacation coverage activities including responsibilities from other team members

  • All other duties as required


About You:


  • Completed post secondary degree from a recognized University or College with a focus on engineering, supply chain, statistics or mathematics

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent co-op or internship placements)

  • Understanding of supply chain principles including forecasting, inventory control and logistics

  • Successful candidate will be results driven, find innovative solutions to problems, be proactive in identifying issues and opportunities, strike a balance between fair and progressive, be detail orientated, be multitasking and be inquisitive and analytical

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Moderate to advanced excel skills required

  • Demonstrated knowledge and execution of Power BI and MS Access preferred

  • Written and spoken French an asset but not required
