Job summary

Epiroc in Canada is hiring a Supply Chain Planner to support purchasing, inventory control, production planning and material management. You will coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure on-time material availability and uninterrupted operations.

This onsite role requires 2-5 years in manufacturing or supply chain, strong Excel and ERP/MRP skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • SCMP coursework or APICS certification considered an asset.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production planning, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders and coordinate suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials, components, and services.
  • Follow up on supplier deliveries, shortages, backorders, and quality issues to support production requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities to meet production and customer demand.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, variance investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with production scheduling to support customer delivery commitments and operational objectives.
  • Release, track, and monitor work orders, communicating schedule updates as needed.
  • Coordinate material availability with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Maintain ERP system data, including item masters, BOMs, routings, lead times, and planning parameters.
  • Generate and analyze inventory, purchasing, production, and supplier performance reports.
  • Investigate supply chain, inventory, and planning issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, customer requirements, and new product introductions.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position and the employee's capabilities.

Join Our Team as a Supply Chain Planner at Epiroc!

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for supporting purchasing, inventory control, production planning, and material management activities to ensure the timely availability of materials and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Finance teams to maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate supplier performance, manage ERP system data, and support customer delivery commitments while driving efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Work Type: Onsite


Shift Timings: 1st shift with 1 openings

Knowledge/Education:


  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • SCMP coursework or APICS certification considered an asset.

  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production planning, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain environment.

  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

  • Experience supporting purchasing, inventory management, and production scheduling activities.


Skills and Abilities:


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting.

  • ERP/MRP system experience with knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, and production planning.

  • Ability to analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and support operational decision-making.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
