Job description

The Supply Chain Manager for the Saint-Hyacinthe plant oversees all aspects of the supply chain, from planning to execution. This role is responsible for inventory management, delivery coordination, and cost optimization. The Supply Chain Manager plays a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time, cost-effectively, and with consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities :

Supply Chain Supervision :

  • Manage all components of the supply chain, including demand planning, supplier performance management, inventory control, transportation coordination, and relationship development with external partners.

Strategy Development and Optimization :

  • Design and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate risks within the supply chain.

Supplier and Partner Relationship Management :

  • Oversee procurement processes tied to contracts, monitor supplier performance, and resolve issues to ensure smooth collaboration.

Production Launch Management :

  • Effective Coordination : Lead the scheduling teams to ensure optimal production launches.
  • Machine Load Management : Validate and adjust machine capacity plans in collaboration with central planning to ensure adequate capacity for each production start.
  • Needs Forecasting : Work with maintenance teams to plan shutdowns and preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Process Improvement :
  • Project Initiation : Lead and implement projects aimed at improving scheduling and planning processes, boosting efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Ongoing Training : Provide continuous training to staff on best practices for inventory management and process optimization.
  • Shipment Management :
  • Logistics Flow Optimization : Develop and enhance product flow with logistics platforms to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Effective Communication : Maintain clear and consistent communication with external warehouse teams to optimize receiving and shipping operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with other departments to support and achieve the company’s strategic goals.
  • Manage and lead the plant’s supply chain teams, ensuring their professional development and overall performance.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Software Proficiency :
  • Experience with supply chain management tools, ERP systems, and inventory management software.
  • Language Requirements :
  • Bilingual (French and English) is required.
