What to Expect:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead, develop, and align the Demand Planning, Material Requirements Planning, and Logistics teams in the effective implementation of best practices, processes, and efficient tool utilization. This role is essential to ensure that finished goods are produced and available according to requested dates and quantities at the appropriate locations while optimizing costs. The manager will proactively collaborate with the DSP team, third-party suppliers, service providers, and both internal and external stakeholders to significantly influence and guide the value chain in defining and achieving business priorities and financial management. Additionally, the role requires providing strong leadership for the integration and optimization of the Factory Supply Chain in the market and fostering a motivated Factory Supply Chain organization.
This is a role that will require flexibility. Because it is a 24/7 operation, other shifts or schedules may be required.
A day in the life of a Supply Chain Manager
Develop and implement strategies to optimize all supply chain functions, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production and business needs and align supply chain activities accordingly
Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost of goods sold, to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations
Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components.
Implement inventory management systems and processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs, in coordination with the production manager to ensure accurate and achievable production schedules.
Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of finished goods.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as supplier consolidation, process automation, and transportation optimization
Stay updated on industry trends and developments and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers and other external stakeholders to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in all supply chain activities.
Regularly review and update standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Role Requirements
5 years or more of relevant operational experience at factory level is required,
Experience in at least one of the following areas: Manufacturing or Technical, Industrial Performance (Manufacturing Excellence), Logistics (Warehousing & Transportation), Inbound Material Management, Production Planning
Relevant operational experience at market/plant level in the following areas is beneficial:
business planning, budget control, cost management
Supply Chain Experience in managing, engaging, and motivating direct reports
