Job summary

Donald's Fine Foods is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to own the end-to-end physical flow of product across our network: warehousing, transportation, inventory governance and capacity planning.

This is a network level leadership role reporting directly to the COO, with four direct reports covering warehouse and distribution, transportation and logistics, inventory control and supply chain planning.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics, operations or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive supply chain, logistics or distribution experience, including leading managers or senior supervisors.
• Experience in food manufacturing, refrigerated distribution, meat processing or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong command of inventory control, transportation, ERP/WMS/TMS systems and KPI management.

Responsibilities

• Build the three year supply chain strategy and capability roadmap for the network.
• Set the standards for transfers, carriers, warehousing and customer service across five operating brands.
• Control freight, external storage and detention costs while protecting service levels and shelf life.
• Own inventory accuracy, cycle counts and root cause resolution on variances.
• Run a rolling thirteen week capacity and transportation outlook so constraints are visible before they become problems.

Donald's Fine Foods is a family owned specialty meat processing company operating six facilities across Western Canada under the North 49 Foods, Thunder Creek Pork, Britco Pork and Five Corners Meat Co. brands. We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to own the end to end physical flow of product across our network: warehousing, transportation, inventory governance and capacity planning.

This is a network level leadership role reporting directly to the COO, with four direct reports covering warehouse and distribution, transportation and logistics, inventory control and supply chain planning.

What you'll own

Build the three year supply chain strategy and capability roadmap for the network. Set the standards for transfers, carriers, warehousing and customer service across five operating brands. Control freight, external storage and detention costs while protecting service levels and shelf life. Own inventory accuracy, cycle counts and root cause resolution on variances. Run a rolling thirteen week capacity and transportation outlook so constraints are visible before they become problems. Build management depth on your team and a fact based culture that fixes root causes instead of firefighting daily.

What you bring

A degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics, operations or a related field. SCMP is an asset. At least seven years of progressive supply chain, logistics or distribution experience, including leading managers or senior supervisors. Experience in food manufacturing, refrigerated distribution, meat processing or another regulated environment is strongly preferred. Strong command of inventory control, transportation, ERP/WMS/TMS systems and KPI management. A track record of building systems and teams across multiple sites.
