Job description

Venor is proud to partner with Stelia North America on their search for an experienced Supply Chain Manager.

This role is ideal for a supply chain professional with strong leadership skills and deep expertise in material requirements planning (MRP) and ERP systems. You will work closely with the supply chain, planning, and procurement teams to assess current processes, develop a long-term supply chain management strategy, and coach the team through improvements.

What You’ll be Doing :

1. Develop and implement a robust supply chain management strategy, focusing on optimizing material requirements planning (MRP), addressing inventory overages and shortages by improving demand signals, forecasting tools, and purchasing processes.
2. Lead, coach, and develop a team of six Buyers, providing support and long-term development to build capability across experience levels, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
3. Build strong relationships with vendors, support the creation and negotiation of vendor agreements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Production, Finance, and Supplier Quality to support procurement and operational goals.
4. Contribute to ERP system upgrades or replacements, leveraging experience with Epicor or other major ERP systems, and improve tools and processes for scalability and efficiency.
5. Analyze inventory usage, production backlogs, sales forecasts, and supplier lead times to determine purchasing needs, reduce shortages, control inventory costs, and enhance supplier performance and risk management.

What We’re Looking For :

• Post-secondary education in supply chain or operations management, industrial engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or broader supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense sectors.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a proven track record of leading teams or functions in fast-paced environments.
• Solid understanding of ERP and MRP systems (planning, purchasing, and scheduling); Epicor experience is an asset.
• Skills in negotiation, supplier management, data analysis, and problem solving, with a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and change management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and ERP tools, along with strong communication skills and emotional intelligence to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
