About The Role

As a Supply Chain Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the procurement of goods, materials, construction contracts, and ancillary services are planned and delivered at a competitive cost, within agreed timelines, and in accordance with project priorities. You will be the primary point of contact for the business, providing essential support and guidance to project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project/program/development teams.
  • Represent SCM at project team meetings and engage SCM functional staff to assist in developing key deliverables.
  • Develop the SCM component of the Project Management Plan (PMP), including the SCM supply plan and contracting plan.
  • Monitor performance against the SCM supply plan and contracting plan, addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Facilitate approval of Contract Development Plans (CDP) and Contract Award Recommendations (CAR).
  • Provide input into SCM progress reports and support value creation activities.
  • Coordinate stage gate reviews and facilitate SCM participation in project lessons learned sessions.

Scope/Dimensions

  • Work under the guidance and direction of the SCM Manager.
  • Oversee projects that range up to $100+MM per annum.

Working Relationships

  • Collaborate with all SCM teams, including SSC buyers, logistics & expediting/category management.
  • Work with Project/Programs/Development teams, Project engineers, and SCM Managers.
  • Prepare information for presentation to Managers and Directors.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of a B.S. or equivalent in Supply Chain or a relevant engineering, legal, or business discipline.
  • Approximately 7 years of related project, commercial, or technical business experience in the Oil & Gas or related industry.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop wide and diverse networks and effectively communicate and influence third parties.

Desired

  • Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and large organizations.
  • Excellent influencing and engagement skills with the ability to energize others.
  • Experience with multiple sourcing methodologies (RFX, etc).
  • Enrollment in Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) program is beneficial.
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills, strong analytical skills, and cost modeling experience.
  • Proficient in software and computer skills, with Ariba or equivalent experience being an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment.
  • Travel requirement: 5-10%.
