Job summary

Pet Valu is seeking a Supply Chain BI Solutions Analyst in Markham, ON, to support data-driven improvements across supply chain systems and analytics. The role emphasizes partnering with stakeholders, data integrity, and leveraging BI tools to optimize vendor and DC/store order flows.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of analytical experience, familiarity with Blue Yonder, and strong SQL and visualization skills (Power BI/Tableau).

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a related field as listed.
  • 1–3 years of analytical experience in professional setting, preferably in Supply Chain.
  • Preferably 1–3 years of Blue Yonder Supply Chain application experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL to query relational databases.
  • Strong skills in data visualization with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with open-source languages like R or Python is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support in managing Blue Yonder and WebPortal data maintenance/accuracy and exception management.
  • Ensure Supply Chain application integrations function as expected; identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with BA to represent business for development requirements.
  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing with detailed documentation.
  • Analyze inbound/outbound data flow between SC systems and ERP; resolve data issues.
  • Create/generate reports and dashboards; automate with scripts where possible.

They should be an effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with multiple levels of the organization, leveraging critical thinking skills to collect, analyze, and interpret data and situational/system opportunities. Additionally, they should be looked upon as a subject matter expert to align with best Supply Chain practices and be in sync with our Supply Chain network, systems, strategy, team culture, and the Pet Valu community. The Supply Chain Solutions Analyst role is ideal for someone passionate about using qualitative and quantitative methods to unlock opportunities for driving Supply Chain excellence and supporting key growth initiatives, with an overall belief in being part of something bigger.**Job Description:** **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Support in managing Blue Yonder and WebPortal data maintenance/accuracy, and exception management to support Vendor and DC/Store order flow.* Assist in ensuring Supply Chain application integrations are working as expected, identifying opportunities where they exist.* Identify andwork on potential enhancement opportunities, collaborating with BA to represent the business in providing the requirements for development.* Lead and support User Acceptance testing on various enhancements and maintaining detailed documents.* Understanding the processes associated with inbound / outbound data flow between Supply Chain systems and ERP to help manage data issues.* Utilize various data analysis tools and techniques to identify patterns, outliers, and areas for improvement.* Perform complex data mining and ad-hoc data analysis using various tools.* Use data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.* Work closely with business leads to gather and document business requirements to support Supply Chain initiatives.* Ability to work positively with the team and cross-functional partners involved in key projects and/or Pet Valu business.* Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills.* Self-motivated with a focus on driving exceptional results with a profound sense of teamwork and accountability.* Create/generate reports/dashboards, writing scripts where possible to automate.* Coordinate tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with business leads.* Perform other related duties as assigned.**Competencies:** **Technical*** Familiarity with Blue Yonder (JDA) and data mining applications (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, IBM Cognos) and languages (SQL, R, Python, VBA, DAX) and other basic coding languages.**Analytical*** Strong analytical thinking and a commitment to improving data integrity and credibility for all programs.* Superior analytical skills that enable teams to interpret and transform customer needs, converting them into a better customer experience.* Use data to provide business insights that support our transformation journey.* Write scripts to analyze data to discover patterns, meaningful relationships, irregularities, and trends.**Teamwork*** An effective team player who adds complementary skills and contributes valuable ideas and feedback.* Accountable for fulfilling any commitments made to others on the immediate or cross functional team.* Ensure the right business leads are informed and involved when required.* Build partnerships and work collaboratively with teams to achieve shared objectives.* Willing to “roll up their sleeves” when necessary to support tasks.**Execution with excellence*** Take on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.* Learn innovative methods, tools, and technology and apply them to business requests and tasks.* Demonstrate the ability to work independently on complex technical and business opportunities.* Acquire and utilize the necessary information from subject matter experts to deliver excellence.**Communication*** Establish and maintain effective, dynamic relationships with management and user groups across the organization.* Demonstrate the ability to present and communicate effectively across cross functional teams, leadership, and third-party providers.**Experience, Education, Certifications:*** Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Business, Math, Statistics, or related field.* 1-3 years of practical analytical experience in a professional environment or business setting, preferably in Supply Chain.* Preferably 1 – 3 years of Blue Yonder Supply Chain application experience.* Advanced knowledge of SQL to query relational databases.* Enhanced skills in using and implementing data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.* Experience with open-source languages such as R, Python is an asset.* Proficient in advanced Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Outlook.* Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).* Must be able to travel to offices, stores, and distribution centers as required.**Compensation:** The targeted salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 annually.
