Supply Chain Associate (1 Year Contract)

As a Supply Chain Associate, your responsibilities will include procuring products and materials, preparing purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and supporting continuous supply chain improvements. You will ensure stability of supply while maximizing cost efficiency and maintaining high-quality standards in procurement and logistics operations. Please note that this is a one-year contract role.

More about your responsibilities:

  1. Supplier & Procurement Management : Collaborate with internal teams to efficiently procure materials while ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
  2. Purchase Orders & Expediting : Prepare, submit, and follow up on purchase orders, expediting deliveries as required to maintain supply continuity.
  3. Supplier Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, acting as the main contact and identifying opportunities to improve quality, cost, and availability.
  4. Supply Chain Optimization : Recommend and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to optimize supply chain operations.
  5. Inventory Management : Leverage ERP systems to manage inventory replenishment, ensuring efficient, predictable, and cost-effective operations.
  6. Logistics Support : Track and trace shipments, providing support for logistics duties and resolving any issues.
  7. Data & Forecast Management : Maintain material master data in ERP, including supplier costs, and support forecasting efforts as needed.

What you’ll bring:

  1. 1+ years of experience in supply chain roles, including procurement.
  2. Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  3. PMAC (Purchasing Management Association of Canada) designation is an asset.
  4. Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, or similar.
  5. Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on supplier engagement.
