Job summary

Fastenal Canada in Bathurst is seeking an entry-level team member for a branch office role. You will inspect, pack, and ship merchandise, address customer questions, and support sales transactions in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a secondary school diploma or equivalent experience, with on-site responsibilities and driving requirements. Training will be provided to ensure accurate inventory and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents.
  • Route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Pack goods to be shipped.
  • Unpack goods received.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess client feedback, enquiries and complaints in the delivery of meaningful information and services.
  • Sell merchandise.
  • Receive payments.
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
  • Issue receipts and other forms.
  • Explain the type and cost of services offered.
  • Arrange for billing for services.
  • Arrange for refunds and credits.
  • Answer inquiries and provide information to customers.
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates.
  • Provide advice about merchandise.
  • Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
  • Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease.
