Job description

Kontron Canada is seeking a Supply Chain and New Product Introduction Specialist to join her experienced and dynamic team.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHALLENGES AHEAD:

  • You will actively support bid activities and client proposals by establishing product base costs;
  • You will ensure effective communication among all stakeholders to guarantee cost objectives are met;
  • You will identify and update cost estimates for goods, report on new product costs versus targeted budget;
  • You will stay well-informed about market value and availability of raw materials;
  • You will collaborate in the selection of new suppliers with support from engineering, commodity management, and other stakeholders to find quality suppliers who can meet project timelines and budget requirements;
  • You will establish and maintain supplier relationships, improve costs, quality, and reduce risks;
  • You will analyze and improve supply chain processes to reduce costs and lead times;
  • You will collaborate with product development, production, and logistics teams to develop new product launch plans;
  • You will support the team and electronic manufacturing partners to meet development product batch start-up schedules;
  • You will identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies;
  • You will demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to coordinate meetings and conference calls with international partners;
  • Finally, you will participate in continuous improvement projects.

YOU WILL IMPRESS US IF YOU HAVE:

  • Education: College or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Administration or Operations Management;
  • Experience: Preferably 2 to 5 years in the supply chain sector;
  • Knowledge: Advance skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, MRP/ERP;
  • Assets: Knowledge of SAP and of electronic industry, mechanical plan reading, outspoken personality;
  • Profile: Strong ability to work in a team, able to function under minimum supervision, reacts well to pressure, able to manage multiple priorities in parallel, flexibility and communication skill;
  • Languages: French and English (verbal and written). Functional English is required for exchanges with international suppliers and partners.
