Job summary

A leading company in potash distribution located in Saskatoon is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst, Quality. This permanent position involves maintaining quality documentation, coordinating quality programs, and supporting operational decisions through effective communication and relationship building. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience. The company offers a hybrid work environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two to three years’ experience in a related role.
  • Experience in potash production and/or laboratory environment preferred.
  • Experience in potash production and/or a potash laboratory environment would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain quality documentation and technical databases.
  • Coordinate and participate in quality programs and technical working groups.
  • Respond to customer questions about product quality and specifications.
  • Develop positive relationships with mine sites, quality vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer questions about product quality, specifications, and production processes.
  • Occasionally travel to load ports, disports, labs, and mine sites to represent Canpotex and support quality investigations.
  • Support the Manager with continuous improvement strategies for the supply chain.
  • Develop positive relationships with mine sites, quality vendors, and stakeholders.

Supply Chain Analyst, Quality

We are looking for a permanent Supply Chain Analyst, Quality to join our Sales and Operations Planning team in Saskatoon.

The Opportunity
  • Update and maintain quality documentation and technical databases, including product specs, GSWI, best practices, and claims.
  • Coordinate and participate in quality programs and technical working groups.
  • Maintain expertise in physical and chemical properties of all Canpotex products to support inquiries, audits, and operational decisions.
  • Ensure proper material handling at load ports to protect product integrity throughout the supply chain.
  • Respond to customer questions about product quality, specifications, and production processes.
  • Occasionally travel to load ports, disports, labs, and mine sites to represent Canpotex and support quality investigations.
  • Support the Manager with continuous improvement strategies for the supply chain.
  • Develop positive relationships with mine sites, quality vendors, and stakeholders.
You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a natural science, engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum two to three years’ experience in a related role.
  • Experience in potash production and/or a potash laboratory environment, including internship experience, would be an asset.

  • Flexibility and Responsiveness: Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities. This can include investigating product quality concerns, coordinating surveillance activities, and handling ad-hoc projects.
  • Process and System Improvement: Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and utilizing advanced technology and statistical analysis techniques for quality management.
  • Technology Proficiency: Advanced computer skills including experience tracking and analyzing data in Excel.
