Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking an Inventory Analyst to analyze demand and supply trends, optimize stock levels, and support production continuity. You will leverage ERP/CMS data, build inventory models, and drive improvements across cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and financial performance.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, forecast validation, and managing inventory metrics. Strong Excel/Power BI skills and 3+ years in supply chain analytics are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain analysis or inventory management.
  • Experience with ERP systems and CMS or similar ERP.
  • Strong data management and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Power BI and Excel for reporting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze demand and supply trends to support planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain inventory models to optimize stock levels and working capital.
  • Design and execute cycle count strategies.
  • Monitor inventory performance and analyze variances to identify root causes.
  • Review forecasts against actuals and adjust system parameters to improve accuracy.
  • Collaborate across Production, Purchasing, Finance and Operations.
  • Perform and report daily inventory cycle counts in ERP/CMS.
  • Coordinate periodic physical inventory audits and document outcomes.
  • Process approved inventory adjustments with proper audit controls.
  • Develop inventory performance metrics, dashboards, and reports for management.
  • Support CI initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing new inventory processes and system enhancements.
  • Provide analytical support for forecasting and supply chain optimization.
  • Handle additional duties to support objectives.

Summary

Analyze and optimize demand and supply activities to ensure seamless inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Drive the effective management of raw material and finished goods flows, supporting production continuity, cost control, and customer satisfaction through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze demand and supply trends by leveraging customer forecasts, historical sales data, purchasing activity, and inventory receipts to support effective planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain inventory models to determine optimal stock levels, partnering closely with Production and Purchasing teams to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and optimize working capital.
  • Design and execute cycle count strategies aligned with corporate inventory accuracy and inventory turnover objectives.
  • Monitor inventory performance and analyze variances, identifying root causes of discrepancies and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory integrity.
  • Review and validate customer forecasts against actual sales performance, recommending and implementing system adjustments to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure inventory transactions comply with established company policies and procedures.
  • Perform, record, reconcile, and report daily inventory cycle counts utilizing ABC inventory classification methodologies and count prioritization standards.
  • Coordinate and support periodic physical inventory audits, ensuring accurate count execution, reconciliation, and documentation.
  • Track, validate, and process approved inventory adjustments within the ERP/CMS system while maintaining proper audit controls and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain inventory performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to provide actionable insights to management and key stakeholders.
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by identifying process optimization opportunities that enhance inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Assist in the implementation of new inventory management processes, systems enhancements, and best practices.
  • Provide analytical support for inventory planning, forecasting, and supply chain optimization projects.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support business objectives and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, inventory management, manufacturing operations, or a related industry.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably CMS or comparable enterprise resource planning platforms.
  • Strong data management and data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data using tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, with the ability to create reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in inventory control, demand planning, forecasting, and supply chain optimization is highly preferred.
