Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment processes.
  • Experience using AI technologies to support forecasting, automation, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Position: Logistics & Compliance Analyst

Job Overview

Reporting to the Replenishment Manager. The Logistics & Compliance Analyst is responsible for driving supply chain performance through the integration of demand planning, advanced analytics, continuous improvement, and digital innovation. Acting as a strategic partner to Supply Chain leadership, the role transforms data into actionable insights, identifies opportunities for operational optimization, and supports the adoption of AI-driven solutions that enhance decision-making, efficiency, and business performance. The position serves as a catalyst for innovation, helping build the processes, capabilities, and tolls required to support a more data-driven and digitally enabled supply chain organization.

Accountabilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
  • Support demand planning activities through forecast analysis, trend identification, and performance measurement.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities to improve planning effectiveness.
  • Develop reporting and analytical tools to support inventory, service level, and replenishment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into planning insights and recommendations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance scorecards.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets to identify opportunities for cost reduction, inventory, optimization, waste reduction, and service improvement.
  • Utilize SQL, Excel, Python, and other analytical tools to automate reporting and generate actionable insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership teams.
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve supply chain efficiency, productivity, accuracy and service levels.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action plans for recurring operational issues.
  • Document and standardize processes, best practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Participate in Supply Chain transformation initiatives and strategic projects.
AI, Automation & Digital Enablement
  • Champion the adoption of AI and Microsoft Copilot capabilities within the Supply Chain team.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes, reporting, and analysis activities.
  • Develop and document AI-enabled workflows, tools, and business use cases.
  • Support training, change management, and knowledge-sharing activities to build AI literacy across the team.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that drive business value and operational effectiveness.
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot to analyze supply chain data, interact with enterprise information sources, accelerate root cause analysis, supporting forecasting activities, and develop scalable AI-enabled business solutions.
Supplier Performance & Service Management
  • Monitor supplier service performance, including OTIF (On Time In Full), fill rates, product availability, and order compliance.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers regarding service-related inquiries, performance issues, shortages, late deliveries, and supply concerns.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with vendor through email, meetings, and performance reviews to resolve service issues and drive improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier performance issues by conducting root causes analysis and coordinating corrective actions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance reporting, scorecards, and service metrics to support business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Distribution, Replenishment, and vendors to improve product availability and overall supply chain performance.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations, Finance and IT teams.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for Supply Chain analytics, reporting, and optimization initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization to align improvement opportunities with business objectives.
Health and Safety
  • Promotes and endorses Safety Vision “Safety is our way of life”.
  • Observes and support Longo’s Safe Work guidelines and other safe work practices.
  • Role models the importance of health and safety by always working safely and calls out and addressed and safety issues.
  • Recognizes risks which may pose a danger to Team Members and customers and resolves such issues (where possible) or modifies work, mitigating the risk to Team Member/customer until resolution can be sourced and implemented (i.e. Longo’s Call Center Harassment/Violence Reference Guide)
  • Ensures all pre-use checks (where applicable) are conducted and all equipment is maintained to provide for safe operation by Team Members.
  • Ensures that TMs are trained to safely carry out their work in the department and ensures that all work is safely carried out by Team Members.

Knowledge, Skills & Credentials
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, or Business Analytics functions, including practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to support forecasting, inventory optimization, reporting, process automation, and business decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain planning principles, forecasting methodologies, inventory management, and retail replenishment processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, modelling, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL required, with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets.
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools preferred.
  • Python programming knowledge for data analysis, automation, and reporting is an asset.
  • Experience using ERP systems, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain planning systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot and other AI technologies to improve productivity, automate workflows, generate business insights, and support data-decision making.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Copilot capabilities, including prompt engineering, workflow automation, data analysis, content generation, and integration with Microsoft 365 applications and enterprise data sources.
  • Experience utilizing AI-enabled solutions to interact with, analyze, and extract insights from large datasets, databases, reporting environments, ERP systems, and supply chain planning platforms.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and implement AI use cases that deliver measurable business value through process optimization, forecasting improvements, automation, or operational efficiencies.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Lean Six Sigma, APICS CPIM, CSCP, or related disciplines are an asset.
  • Experience in grocery retail, consumer package goods (CPG), distribution, or related industries is preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to professionally manage supplier correspondence and service-related escalations.
Working Conditions

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing retail landscape with deadlines.
  • Will require extensive analysis of data on the computer for long periods of time.
