Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, QC is seeking a Supply Chain Agent for New Product Development. You will lead procurement for commodities across development phases and participate in integrated product development teams to drive changes through to implementation.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Business with 4–7 years of aerospace experience, plus strong negotiation, analytical, and bilingual (French/English) communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent.
• 4–7 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
• Experience negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Experience on development programs is an asset.
• Technical knowledge is an asset.
• Strong analytical and bilingual (French & English) communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for procurement activities for specific commodities across product development phases.
• Represent Procurement in integrated product development teams.
• Track changes through the management process up to implementation.
• Negotiate with external suppliers for project requirements.
• Ensure correct project tracking and visibility with suppliers.
• Support, where applicable, the Procurement commodity team in establishing sourcing strategies and draft commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Provide coaching/mentoring to team members.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Be responsible for all procurement related activities for specific commodities of the various product development phases
• Represent Procurement with the various integrated product development team
• Track changes through the management process up to the point of implementation
• Be responsible for contractual negotiations, resulting from product ranges, with external suppliers
• Ensure that correct project tracking and visibility are provided by suppliers for Procurement and other business unit functions
• Support, where applicable, the Procurement commodity team in establishing sourcing strategies for the development programs and draft commercial agreements with the suppliers.
• Provide coaching/mentoring to the agents of the team

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
• You have four (4) to seven (7) years of experience in the aerospace industry
• You possess experience in contract negotiations with suppliers
• You have experience on development programs (an asset)
• You possess technical knowledge (an asset)
