Job description

Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Duration: 06 months (possible extension)

Location: Burnaby, BC V5J 5L4

Pay: $32 to $34 CAD per hour

Overview:

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving exceptional product quality, delivering customer value beyond expectations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing the Cost of Quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Focus on part/process qualification, issue resolution, and implementing quality plans (corrective/preventive actions).
2. Respond to supplier inquiries by engaging the appropriate Cytiva resources.
3. Remind suppliers to return necessary documents via email or Teams, escalating issues as needed to meet deadlines.
4. Review returned documents for completeness.
5. Coordinate with Cytiva resources to approve documents, escalating when necessary to meet schedules.
6. Create and maintain a filing system in SharePoint for document storage.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
• Knowledge of critical quality aspects in industrial process control, including verification and validation through process qualification.
• Experience with quality management systems, especially in an ISO9001:2015 compliant environment.
• Background in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, or engineering, preferably in biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong team player with collaborative skills.
• Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization and with global suppliers.
