JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, the Supplier Quality Coordinator (SQC) will be responsible for ensuring that basic documentation and inspection reports are in place from Mevotech Suppliers. The SQC will work with suppliers in regards to coordination of COO and CMM reports, inspection reports, material certificates, and test results. The SQC will also help in developing policies and documentation requirements associated to product sourcing and developing processes as directed by engineering and supplier quality teams. Please be aware this is a 9 month contract opportunity.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Suppliers to develop template for minimum requirement submission per part
  • Acquire and analyze sample checks as per Mevotech standards and requirements
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive root cause analysis using quality tools
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for vendors to enhance quality and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all incoming materials and components meet specifications, standards and Mevotech expectations
  • Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and supplier-related records
  • Support cross-functional teams in resolving supplier-related quality issues affecting performance or customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in supplier meetings, providing quality feedback and driving improvement programs.
  • Ensure that suppliers understand and comply with industry and Mevotech quality requirements.
  • Participate in supplier development programs to improve consistency, quality and reliability of sourced components.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Departments to review supplier deviation requests on drawing updates or Production parts

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automotive or a related field (preferred)
  • CQE is considered an asset
  • 3-5+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, or supplier management in the automotive aftermarket industry.
  • Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, SPC, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving methodologies
  • Proficiency in quality management systems and ERP software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
