Job description

We are seeking a Senior Supplier Development Manager PCB / PWB to join our Curtiss Wright Defense Electronics team in Ottawa, ON.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading PCB / PWB supply base initiatives as a working manager, influencing supplier management activities, coordinating with design teams, and overseeing PCB yields.
2. Managing a team of subject matter experts across various disciplines including Design, Quality, Component Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, and PDMs.
3. Working closely with suppliers on production issues, contracts, cost reduction strategies, and delivery performance.
4. Participating in risk management to ensure a resilient supply base and fostering collaborative relationships with engineering and program leadership.
5. Traveling as necessary to support manufacturing stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Expertise in CAD tools, PCB design, and mentoring users.
• Experience with high-speed, low-loss PCB design, RF, and high-speed boards based on AMD-FPGA, Freescale, or Intel microprocessors.
• Proficiency in Allegro PCB, PADS, ORCAD, and mechanical tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Minimum 10+ years in supplier development, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contracts.

Education:

• Engineering degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Additional qualifications include IPC CID or CID+ certification, experience with Agile PLM or Teamcenter, and knowledge of test protocols and stack-up creation.

Additional Information:

• Willingness to travel up to 25%+ for supplier audits and relationship management.
• Ideal candidates will have established relationships with U.S. manufacturing facilities and PCB laminate providers.
