Job summary

Canadian Executive Search Group (USA) Inc / Division of Arrow Group of Companies is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to join a Tier-1 environment supporting machining and powertrain assembly.

You will lead supplier development, audits and KPI monitoring, and drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans while collaborating with Purchasing, Quality and Production to improve supply quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supplier quality/development or related field.
• Experience in automotive or heavy-duty manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and supplier audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier development, audits and performance management.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Coordinate 8D, 5-Why and RCA to address root causes.
• Improve supplier quality, delivery and manufacturing processes.
• Monitor supplier KPIs and identify supply chain risks.
• Work with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and Production.

We are currently recruiting for a Supplier Development Engineer to join a Tier-1 manufacturing environment supporting machining and assembly of powertrain components.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supplier development, audits and performance management
• Lead APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans
• Drive supplier corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why and RCA
• Improve supplier quality, delivery and manufacturing processes
• Monitor supplier KPIs and identify supply chain risks
• Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and Production

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of supplier quality/development experience
• Automotive or heavy-duty manufacturing experience
• Strong APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and IATF 16949 knowledge
• Experience with SAP, GD&T and supplier audits
• Machining, castings, forgings and heat-treatment knowledge is an asset
