WHAT YOU WILL DO

Team Lead for the Canada Federal Security Clearance function:

  • Act as backup to Company Security Officer (CSO) role.
  • Define strategic direction with CSO and other leadership and implement.
  • Understand business priorities.
  • Stay current on all government policies and regulations. Ensure Accenture compliance.
  • Onboard new client projects.
  • Work closely with stakeholders including project leads, PMO, contract management, etc.
  • Explain policies to key stakeholders.
  • Attend weekly pipeline calls to anticipate upcoming clearance team needs, as well as client project team calls as needed.
  • Prioritize request queue and assign clearance tasks/projects to team member(s).
  • Review clearance documents submitted by team, address issues as they arise, and escalate as needed.
  • Coach team as needed.
  • Provide regular status updates to CSO and other Leadership.
  • Identify process improvements.
  • Create reports as required.
  • Complete other supervisory tasks identified.

Process Federal Reliability Status security clearance applications:

  • Determine resource eligibility.
  • Provide process guidance.
  • Add applicant to tracking sheet.
  • Initiate application in federal portal.
  • Review completed application and either submit for approval or contact the applicant regarding revisions.
  • If the applicant was born outside of Canada, provide proof of status upon CSP’s request.
  • Upon approval, distribute clearance certificate & security orders to the relevant resource, update tracking sheet, and notify the relevant project team.

Process upgraded Federal clearances to Secret and Top-Secret clearance levels.

Other Key Duties:

  • Federal Out-of-Country Verification (OCV) clearance applications.
  • Federal security clearance renewals and terminations.
  • Execute and support clearance process for agencies that have a modified clearance process.
  • VCRs, requests for resources’ permission to enter federal client sites.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative and coordination roles within a corporate or government environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Federal and/or Provincial government contracting procedures and security protocols.
  • Eligibility for Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook, with intermediate to advanced capabilities.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Accenture office 3 to 5 days per week, as determined by the Workplace Lead.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a corporate environment, within a large company will be an asset.
  • Bilingual in French will be an asset.
